python-pynn software package provides simulator-independent specification of neuronal network models, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-pynn
python-pynn is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-pynn package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-pynn *
You will get with python-pynn package name, version, architecture and description in a table
